Hi! I’m Izzy, a colorist from Atlanta, Georgia.
My background in traditional art taught me that color isn’t just something you see, but rather something that pushes an audience to feel. This perspective shapes every project I work on, guiding each color grade with careful intention and emotion.

ABOUT IZZY
UGA Alumna & Certified Color Snob
Bachelor of Arts – Entertainment and Media Studies

I first fell in love with color and its ability to shape a narrative while housebound during the COVID-19 pandemic. I stumbled upon the Thai show I Told Sunset About You and instantly fell in love with its use of color symbolism. My love of this series (and other Thai media) eventually drove me to pursue color correction as a career path when I was in college.
In my free time, I enjoy media analysis and making video essays that share my research! In particular, I love to study color symbolism used in international media. I think exploring other cultures and what color in film means when it is used in a cultural context is not only interesting, but it also allows me to see color past what was taught to me in an American film school. I can see how other countries treat their use of color in media, and find ways to insert this into my own practice.
I don’t just do digital media, though! I am a practicing printmaker and book-artist, making art that combines my upbringing in the deep-south with my German ancestry. Through lino-cuts, etchings, and hand-made paper, I explore my own culture in a story-book manner by creating fantastical and narrative-driven pieces of artwork. In addition to this, I also enjoy doing amateur concert photography and making pottery!

Through my work, I hope to create a visual narrative that leaves a lasting positive impression on not only the audience, but also the team I work with. If you have a story to tell, I’d love to be a part of the process and help bring it to life!
